Counsel of Parents Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA) – a national nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the legal and civil rights of students with disabilities and their families, offering resources, training, and a public directory of attorneys and advocates at copaa.org.

Special Education Equity CT (SEEK) – a nonprofit advocacy organization focused on systemic reform in special education, working to advance equity, transparency, and accountability through policy change, legal advocacy, and family engagement.

CT Department of Education Surrogate Parent Program – assigns trained volunteers to act as educational decision-makers for students with disabilities who have no available parent, ensuring their rights under IDEA are protected.
